Czech game developer MADFINGER Games, known for developing “Shadowgun” and “Dead Trigger,” has announced that they will release a new open-world tactical FPS game called “Gray Zone Warfare” using the Unreal Engine 5. This game is set to land on the PC (Steam) platform in 2024 and is planned to have Chinese localization.
“Gray Zone Warfare” is an open-world tactical FPS game. The game’s storyline revolves around a mysterious event on an island in Southeast Asia, which has led to the entire region being placed under international isolation. Almost all civilians have been evacuated by the United Nations, and three members of private military service companies have been commissioned by a mysterious client with the task of exploring the area, uncovering its secrets, and bringing back valuable items.
According to the official statement, in “Gray Zone Warfare,” players will join one of three factions and embark on adventures in the vibrant yet harsh jungle, either alone or with a team, battling against other players or AI-controlled enemies. Every move a player makes carries significant consequences, and the tactics, skills, and shooting accuracy of their squad will be crucial to their success.
In “Gray Zone Warfare,” players can customize weapons and equipment, and they will experience a health system different from what is commonly found in games, realistically simulating the inconveniences and negative impacts of injuries. The team emphasizes that in this high-risk environment, every battle could lead to players losing hard-earned equipment and progress. It’s crucial to stay in close communication with teammates, prioritize the interests of oneself and the team, adapt to the surroundings, and gain an advantage.
