According to Gamesindustry, video game studio and publisher RapidEyeMovers, will be hosting a city-wide gaming festival in Kendal, UK.
According to RapidEyeMovers’ plans, the festival is very user-friendly and will go some way to turning the town into a playable map of living spots with distinctive gaming events.
RapidEyeMovers will also be hosting the first ever World VR eSports Championships, which of course features RapidEyeMovers’ own game, C-Smash VRS, which was recently nominated for a Golden Joystick Award.
Jörg Tittel, Director of RapidEyeMovers, said, “With the rise of digital platforms and the accelerating challenges of the epidemic, gaming has moved further away from its roots.”
He added: “Games are not technology, they are culture. Now that games have become the world’s dominant form of art and entertainment, it’s time to celebrate, explore and remind people why games are human.”
