Larian: Our next big game will push many boundaries

Swen Vincke, CEO of Larian Studios, reveals his ambitious plans for the follow-up game to Baldur’s Gate 3.
On Monday, Baldur’s Gate 3 received eight nominations for the TGA Awards, tying it with Mindhunter 2 for the most nominations.
Vincke said, “This is a real honour, especially with so many games on sale this year. It’s very exciting to see our ‘niche RPG’ making such big waves.
I wish I could tell you about our next big game, but this (Baldur’s Gate 3’s massive TGA nomination) really encourages us to make sure it pushes a lot of boundaries. I’m very excited about that.”
Baldur’s Gate 3 (PC), which officially launched in August this year and arrived on PS5 and Mac in September, is one of the most critically acclaimed games currently available and has been a commercial hit, far exceeding studio founder Vincke’s expectations.
